Synopsis:
Ghost in the Shell: ARISE borders 1-4 covers the formation of the Public Security Section 9 by a young Motoko Kusanagi after a bombing incident reveals a conspiracy. She investigates the bombing, which was triggered by a hacking virus, and encounters key figures like Batou and Daisuke Aramaki. Along the way, she forms her own independent unit, eventually recruiting Batou, Ishikawa, Saito, Paz, Borma, and eventually Togusa, establishing Section 9 and discovering her own past and the true nature of her cybernetic body and memories.
